While wearing costume is not mandatory to attend protests across the country as a Handmaid Local member, it is the handmaid visual that makes the most impact, especially in large groups. First and foremost, showing up is more important than dressing up. We recognize that the Handmaid image may not suit everyone’s personal truth.
